Hourly Distribution of Traffic Accidents

This graph visualizes all crashes in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from Oct 2013 to Oct 2015 (1435 and 1436 H). This chart helps to show when crashes tend to happen throughout the day — such as evenings on weekends and rush hour periods on weekdays — in the hope that those time frames can be identified for safer traffic monitoring and intervention. You can explore this graph on two levels: day and hour.

ChartJS was used to create this visualization.

Day: Number of reported car accidents are recorded as a radar plot on the chart for each day of the week.

Hour: the radius shows hours of the day aligned with number of incidents. Hover over any time point to get a breakdown of the number of accidents at each hour.
